We use them because they let us map the heat across a wafer without ever actually touching the thing. No contact, no contamination. You&amp;rsquo;re risking mechanical stress or, even worse, dropping a particle right onto your substrate.&#xA;With IR pyrometry, we just &amp;ldquo;watch&amp;rdquo; the thermal radiation coming off the wafer. It&amp;rsquo;s cleaner. These sensors spit out signals that plug straight into your PLC or SCADA system. Suddenly, you&amp;rsquo;ve got a live heat map. It&amp;rsquo;s the only real way to catch those annoying &amp;ldquo;cold spots&amp;rdquo; when you&amp;rsquo;re running rapid thermal processing.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
